Cleveland Lutheran High School East
Alumni Association

The Lutheran East Alumni Association (LEAA) was established in 2001. The group’s purpose is “To facilitate an active relationship between the school and its graduates through programs and activities which encourage fellowship, attract financial support, enhance academic excellence, and promote the benefits of a Christian education.”

There are over 2000 LHSE alumni. The Hall of Fame was established in 2001 to recognize some of the more outstanding alumni. Selection criteria include: professional accomplishments, community service and contributions to the church. The Induction Ceremony is held each May in conjunction with the school’s Honors Convocation. Nominations are welcome.

LEAA meetings are held approximately six times per year. Officers include; President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Officers are elected for two-year terms. Each year the president appoints a Newsletter Editor, a Hall of Fame Selection Committee, and a Nominating Committee. A newsletter is mailed twice per year, though announcements via e-mail are sent more frequently.

Alumni have taken an active roll in fundraising and are well represented on the Lutheran East Operating Board. Regular alumni events include a reception following Homecoming, a reception a late-season basketball game, and a summer picnic.
