Track Teams Place High at Longhorn Invitational
The Lutheran East Track teams turned in a solid showing at the Longhorn Invitational last night (5/1/2012).
The boys team took 4th place. Jordan Hicks took 2nd in the High Jump and the 200 meter dash. Ta-Rel Franklin took 2nd in the 100 meter dash and participated in the runner-up 4x100 meter relay.
The girls team also took 4th place. Andrene Fowler won the 100 meter dash, the 200 meter dash, and led the 4x100 and 4x200 meter relays to victories. Torrie Simmons placed 3rd in the Shot Put, while Shakenna Johnson took 3rd in the Long Jump.
