Wow! What a weather week we have had in Cleveland, Ohio. Lutheran East was supposed to be back in session on Monday, January 6th, but we were delayed in returning until Thursday, January 9th. Students and staff celebrated their return with a Thursday chapel. Our speaker's message was truly encouraging as we considered Genesis 19. The text is about Sodom and Gomorrah and the judgment God sent down, but we focused more on considering our everyday actions and how we should be glorifying God on a daily basis. The people of Sodom and Gomorrah went about their busy lives not remembering that God matters each day. We rejoice in the fact that God has given us a new year to reflect on ways that we can become better as a faculty and as a student body. We wish you a happy, blessed new year as well.
