Girls Basketball Opens Conference Play with a Win
The Lady Falcons played in their first conference game in the NEOL last night and moved to 1-1 on the season (1-0 in the conference) with a 38-29 home victory over Heritage Christian in Canton. After jumping out to an early 15-0 lead, the team hung on at the end for their first win of the season. Senior Torrie Simmons led all scorers with 10 points. Junior Kaela Marable had 9 points and really paced the offense with her ball-handing and distributing skills. Freshman Jazmyne Darby had 5 1st quarter points, including a big 3-pointer in the early run.
