Lutheran East Concludes 2014 Portion of the School Year

It has been a busy week at Lutheran East. Students took their semester exams over four days this week. We are excited to have been able to offer study sessions everyday to help students with their commitment to success in education. Of course, there was an air of excitement as we look forward to having a two-week break this winter. To really help us understand the reason for our celebration (which is not that exams are done) we started the week with a chapel on Monday that focused on singing Christmas Carols. A variety of students and staff selected their favorite songs and explained to all of us why they selected that song. It was a very meaningful time of reflection about how God gave us His perfect gift in Jesus Christ. It was also meaningful in the sense that we ended the chapel with the song Go Tell It as sung by our choir at the concert the previous Friday. How encouraging to hear a chorus of voices in unison singing about going to tell about Jesus and His birth. May we all make it a point to go tell it to all those with whom we come in contact this holiday season. We also pray a very special blessing on students, staff, and families as we take time to rest and celebrate.
