Life Everlasting Gospel Choir Makes 14-15 Debut

This week marked the first choir performance of the year. Students were truly impressive. With over 100 people in our choir, it can be challenging to help everyone get positioned and ready to sing. We look forward to seeing what Mr. Lipford and the Life Everlasting Gospel Choir have in store for us to hear during the fall concert that is coming up on November 14 right here in our auditorium. The choir performance was followed by a very moving message from Mr. Ben Shelton, Science Teacher and Lutheran East alumnus. Students heard a personal testimony of how one of his former students died recently. It was an important time of reflection regarding the choices we make. Most importantly, students were encourage to consider how their daily lives reflected that of a Christian. The text from the Bible is the story of Lazarus the beggar and how his earthly life was not filled with wealth, but how he received comfort from our heavenly Father.
