Lady Falcons Fall in Road Match-up
The Lady Falcons traveled to Youngstown to take on Valley Christian Monday night. The speedy Valley Christian team quickly became the aggressor using their speed in their press to create many turnovers and scoring opportunities. The lady falcons struggled with the press all evening. At the end of the half, Valley Christian maintained 28 to 16 advantage. At the beginning of the third-quarter Lady Falcons came out very aggressive attacking their press playing hard on the defense of end of the floor trying to cut into the Valley Christian lead. Jasmine Johnson aggressively attacked the basket throughout the second-half creating scoring opportunities for herself and her teammates. Taylor Eppinger got into the passing lanes to create steals and scoring opportunities for herself and others. This inspired play, from the Lady Falcons in the second have helped cut the lead to 8 points before falling 62 to 56 to Valley Christian. Tyra Eppinger lead all scorers with 17 points. Jasmine Johnson chipped in 14 points on the night.
