Prospective Student Day

This week on Friday, November 15th, Lutheran East hosted its annual Prospective Student Day. We had more than one hundred eighth grade students visit Lutheran East to learn about our academics, athletics, and clubs. As a special treat, prospective students heard a short choir performance from our newly assembled Gospel Choir. We are hopeful that many of the students will bring their parents to visit our upcoming open house on Wednesday, November 20th.

In other news this week, Lutheran East faculty, students, and a grandparent manned the phones for our annual Lutheran East Phone-a-thon. Monies raised from the phone-a-thon will be directed toward student transportation and technology. Last year, we added two buses to transport students from surrounding communities, and we hope to expand the service next year. Also, last year the school moved to a wireless network as part of a brand new computer network. In the future we hope to achieve a 1 to 1 ratio of tablets to student as we focus on 21st Century learning.
