Open House & Canned Food Drive

On Wednesday, November 20th, Lutheran East hosted its first open house of the year. We were all excited to see the fruits of our first prospective student day. On the 15th, more than 100 students from area schools attended prospective student day, and then some of those students returned with their parents to preview our academics, athletics, fine arts, and clubs offered at Lutheran East. Prospective parents had the opportunity to meet the subject area teachers, to take a tour, to talk to current students, and to discuss scholarship opportunities. As the first of three open houses this year, we could not be more pleased with student and parent interest.

In other news, the Lutheran East Student Council is sponsoring a canned food drive to help the less fortunate during this holiday season. The Lutheran East Student Council is helping our students to focus on the bounty that God has provided to them and also to help them to be thankful for what God has provided. Additionally, this helps Lutheran East students to carry out what we are commanded to do Biblically: to show our light to the world.
