Lutheran East Service Day Blesses Local Community
On Friday, May 3rd the student body of Lutheran East participated in the 2nd Annual Lutheran East Service Day. Students were broken into small groups and served all over the Greater Cleveland area. One group helped sort food and pack lunches for the needy at the Cleveland FoodBank. Another group gave their time volunteering at a local homeless shelter. Three groups volunteered at local churches, performing yard maintenance and spring cleaning. A number of students worked for the day at the Ronald McDonald House, cooking food for the families staying there. Still others did yard maintenance for home-bound Cleveland Heights senior citizens.
