Black History Month Celebration Draws to a Close

Last week was the last week of February. That means that Black History Month has drawn quickly to a close. Lutheran East had the second of two Black History Month assemblies on Wednesday, February 26th. We were delighted by an interactive one man play of George Washington Carver. Two of our students were invited to the stage to help the actor at two different times. The play really helped students to refocus on the value of the education they are receiving in light of understanding the lengths that George Washington Carver went to in order to be educated himself. Spiritual poet Gale Henderson also performed and brought an encouraging word to our students.Thank you to God's Work Inc. for planning and producing this great assembly!
