Faculty Spotlight: Mr.Steinmann

This week’s teacher spotlight focuses on Mr. Steinmann. He is both the principal and a teacher at Lutheran East. He is likely to be the only one here that roots for Michigan, but we think he does a great job anyway. We appreciate leadership and vision Mr. Steinmann has brought to Lutheran East during his tenure. He started out as a history teacher, then he moved to Dean of Students. Eventually, he became principal and set out to make God’s vision our reality by repopulating the school and re-establishing our campus as a beacon of light for students and families in Cleveland Heights and the surrounding area.

Mr. Steinmann is humble and would never talk of the long hours he puts in or the hard work it takes to guide not only a student body, but to guide a group of teachers. Let’s say that we appreciate his willingness to follow God’s calling and to be here with us. We are especially thankful that he could take some time to have an interview with us. Let’s see what Mr. Steinmann had to say:

L.E.: What is your favorite Bible verse or quote?

Mr. Steinmann: Come to me all who are weary and heavy burdened. I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from. My yoke is easy and my burden is light. And I will give you rest for your soul.

-Jesus

L.E.: Tell us about your family.

Mr. Steinmann: They exist. I have a wife. She is rad. I have two daughters. They kick butt at soccer and life.

L.E.: Tell us about where you went to college.

Mr. Steinmann: MICHIGAN!!!!! Go Blue!

L.E. Tell us about your hobbies or sports you are interested in

Mr. Steinmann: I love to read. I try to read a book each week and am usually successful. I like to garden. I run a lot, play basketball, and soccer.

L.E.: If you had to choose Ohio State or Michigan, which would it be?

Mr. Steinmann: Michigan

L.E.: Why did you decide to become an educator?

Mr. Steinmann: God didn't give me much of an option. I wanted to be a lawyer. God had other plans.

L.E.: Anything else you would like us to know (i.e., you wrestled a bear)?

Mr. Steinmann: I've never wrestled a bear but have killed a deer with my bare hands.

We wish God’s richest blessing for Mr. Steinmann and his family in this coming school year!
