We were so blessed today to have (relatively!) good weather for our annual Lutheran East Service Day! Students were excited to go out into the community and serve. For the first time, we all had t-shirts to help build our school spirit. There is a tremendous benefit to creating unity in mind, spirit, and dress to accomplish a common cause. This day embodies what Christ, our Lord, calls us to do on a daily basis: to feed the hungry, clothe the needy, and help the sick. We went to a variety of churches, homes, and community organization to do just that. A special thanks goes to the coordinator or the event, Mr. Ben Triplett, for his undying commitment to student enrichment at Lutheran East. Words cannot describe the joy in our hearts as we serve and as we come back to reflect on the experience. The pictures really tell the story of our day.
