March Madness is just around the corner and it’s looking like Lutheran East will catch the bug once again this year! The boy’s regular season record of 13 wins and 9 losses is not overwhelming on paper, but digging a little deeper you’ll see that the Falcons have gone up against the best competition in Northeast Ohio - regardless of division. Tough losses against St. Ignatius, St. Edwards, Cleveland Heights, and Garfield Heights have been offset by convincing wins against Glenville, Bedford, Euclid, Orange, East Tech and Shaw. The strength of our schedule undoubtedly played a role in the Falcons being awarded the #1 seed in the Division IV Barberton District. In fact, with the #1 seed Lutheran East will host their first tournament game on March 3rd at 7 PM.
Coach Jones has had big things in mind for his team since the outset of this season, and it will be exciting to see how everything comes together in the tournament. If you’re in the area, please come out for a game and help cheer the Falcons on to victory!
