Lutheran High School East is pleased to announce the addition of an Alumni Director position to our school administrative staff. A primary objective of Lutheran High School East is to continue the involvement with and communication with its alumni base, and this position was created in order to further that goal.
Lutheran East has restructured the job description of current staff member Mrs. Loretta Childs to incorporate this role.
Loretta’s connection with Lutheran East began when her husband, Rev. Mandel Childs, began his employment with the school. Loretta has two children, Jewell Cotton '19 and Andrew Cotton '20, who are both recent Lutheran East alumni. Loretta’s step-daughter, Amber Childs, is now also employed at Lutheran East as Marketing & Communications Coordinator.
Loretta has worked for Lutheran East for 6 years in various capacities, including office administration, student supervision, and Assistant Athletic Director. She is a spirited supporter of Falcon Athletics and is known in the Lutheran East community for sporting fun royal blue attire and accessories on game days.
One of Loretta’s primary duties as Alumni Director will be alumni outreach, making contact and reconnecting with as many Lutheran East alumni as possible. In turn, she will communicate with the alumni base about Lutheran East news, upcoming events, alumni reunions, homecomings, fundraising initiatives, and more. Loretta will also help to plan and facilitate reunions and alumni events.
