Boys Play Hard, Fall to Warrensville Heights
Last night, Lutheran East took on Warrensville Heights in a non-conference basketball game. Coach Calhoun's team competed hard the entire night, but could never quite get even in a 76-54 loss. After a large run in the second quarter ignited by Matt Hardnick and Brandon Rivers, the Warrensville Heights lead was down to one. A three-point shot by Rivers rimmed out and the Falcons never recovered. The boys competed hard all night, with some tough defense by Robert Drake and great interior play from Hardnick. Matt Hardnick led all scorers with 18 points, and Dante Brye added 12. The boys are back in action Saturday night at home against Youngstown Christian.
