Boys Basketball Moves to 2-0
The boys basketball team took on Lincoln West last night at home and emerged with hard fought win. The Falcons fell behind early and struggled to get in to an offensive rhythm. After trailing by two at the end of the first quarter, the Falcons turned up the defensive intensity and it led to an offensive spurt and a lead that the Falcons never gave up. The backcourt of Robert Drake and Brandon Rivers combined for 5 steals on the night that led to a number easy baskets. Big men Matt Hardnick and Don Rashad both had big nights. Matt finished with 20 points and 8 rebounds while Don finished with 11. Each of them got a number of great looks off of passes from Robert, Brandon, Dante Brye, and Thomas Jackson.
The boys team will be on the road for the first time this season this coming Saturday (12/8) at Fuchs Mizrachi. Game-time is 8pm.
