Football: Day of Giving
Football: Day of Giving

The Lutheran East Football team participated in their first ever “Day of Giving” on Friday, December 16, 2016. Seniors and Juniors of the 2016 Football Team were gathered for an opportunity to give back to the community by providing gifts to children at the Cleveland Clinic Children’s Rehab facility. At Lutheran East, it is daily practice for students to learn how to live morally and the holiday season is a wonderful time of year to share love and spirit while engaging with others.

The boys were responsible for picking out age appropriate gifts for children that would range from 6 months to 17 years old. They purchased sensory toys, cause & effect toys, clothing, books, art & craft supplies, and jewelry kits. Partnering with Corporate Search Consultants, the team then wrapped their presents and delivered to the children at the Rehab center. While at the facility, the football players also took a tour and played games with the children. The Seniors who participated were Marvell Harrison, Tre Boyd, Mark McCary, Myles Sidney, Avery Pope, Caleb Smith, and Marque Calhoun. The Juniors were Aviyon Fitz, Jose Lawrence, Mykal Hart, Jeff Hall, Davarie Gilmore, and Mike King. They accomplished their goal of sharing joy through interacting with recovering children while learning selflessness, gratefulness, and how to be a humanitarian.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM THE LUTHERAN EAST FOOTBALL TEAM and CORPORATE SEARCH CONSULTANTS!!!
