Lutheran East Hosts Largest Prospective Student Day in School History

Lutheran East has a rich and deep history as a leader in Christ-centered education in Cleveland Heights and building on our past makes certain that the future is also bright. Over the last five school years one of the strongest indicators of that bright future has been a steady increase in enrollment, as the school has grown from a little more than 100 students to almost 250 strong this year! That growth has not happened by accident, but rather is a testimony to the hard work of the staff and volunteers at Lutheran East and the Cleveland Lutheran High School Association.

One of the main events in recruiting new students is our annual Prospective Student Day. This year we welcomed 160 eighth graders from five area schools including St. John Nottingham, St. John South Euclid, Pinnacle Academy, Apex Academy, and Hope Academy East. These students got to experience the Lutheran East difference first-hand as they worked with our dedicated teachers and our welcoming team of student ambassadors.

As part of our enrollment process each prospective student interviews with either our Principal or Dean of Students. One of the standard questions these prospective students are asked is why they’re interested in Lutheran East. The answer for an overwhelming number of these students is that they came to Prospective Student Day and know that Lutheran East will help them get ready for college! One day can have a huge impact and we’re excited to see the impact that this year’s Prospective Student has on the class of 2020!
