Lady Falcons Fall on the Road

The Lady Falcons played a hard fought road game on Monday night trying to even up the score against Fairport Harding. The Lady Falcons took the lead early in the game with their intensity and tenacious defense causing problems for Fairport. The momentum began to swing after a couple key turnovers led to easy baskets for Fairport allowing them to take the lead as the 2nd quarter began. The Lady Falcons were up 1 with 4 seconds to play before halftime when a 3 point buzzer beater sent Fairport Harding into the locker room up 2 at half. As the 2nd half began senior Jeri Pollard went down with a foot injury, removing much of the dominating size that Lutheran East had on the glass. Ultimately turnovers and injuries proved to be too much for the Lady Falcons to overcome and Fairport Harding took the win. Lutheran East moves to 10-5 on the season and now prepares for Open Door on Thursday and a tough game against Cornerstone on Friday night.
