Ultimately quick transition offense and some hot shooting from their guards proved to be too much for Lutheran East to overcome. Ultimately the little things contributed to the loss; the Lady Falcons gave up a season high 23 offensive rebounds and 29 turnovers. The tenacious press in the 4th quarter brought the game back into life with Lutheran East pulling within 5 with 2 minutes to go. Darjaney Edwards had a HUGE offensive game putting up 26 points, knocking down 5 2’s, 4 3’s, and going 4 for 4 from the free throw line. Lutheran East vs. Youngstown Christian

The Lady Falcons lost a tough, long road game Thursday night to Youngstown Christian. Sloppy turnovers and poor rebounding proved to be the demise of the young Lutheran East basketball team. Shooting just 50% from the free throw line, the Falcons left another possible 10 points off of the scoreboard and the tenacity of the guards from Youngstown proved to be too much to handle. Jazmyne Darby and Jamara McDowell led the team with 5 points each. Faith Hardnick led the team on the boards pulling down 8 rebounds on the night. Lutheran East moves to 12-9 and now prepares to play Western Reserve on senior night at home next Wednesday at 5:30 pm.
