Ohio's State Tests
Ohio's State Tests measure student progress toward Ohio's Learning Standards. The tests help us make sure every Ohio student receives a high-quality education. Student test results show that students have the knowledge and skills they need to move successfully to their next steps in education or a career.
On Ohio's State Tests, students earn a cumulative passing score of 18 points, using seven end-of-course state tests. To ensure that students are well-rounded, each student must earn a minimum of four points in math, four points in English, and six points across science and social studies.
End-of-Course Exams are:
Math: Algebra I and Geometry
Social Studies: American History and American Government
English: English I and English II
