LE & LW Unity Concert

Normally April 15th is a date we all associate with the IRS. This year those of us at Lutheran East and Lutheran West associated it with The Unity Concert of 2016. It was a beautiful, warm spring for the two choirs to gather for an epic performance unlike any witnessed in many years here at the Lutheran East Auditorium! Even though each choir has its own unique style, the audience enjoyed both. Seeing the students, parents, and faculties from both schools is a good reminder that we are all a part of the Body of Christ. As the Apostle Paul taught us, we each have our part in the body. We also reflect on the idea that unity must be purposeful. Unity does not happen on its own. Our two schools have definitely seen their own challenges throughout the years, but we are part of one vision that was established many years ago in Cleveland when the original Cleveland Lutheran High School was opened. As we look forward, we hope to make this concert an annual tradition so that it can serve as a reminder that unity is vital is continuing the work that God has given us to do.
