Faculty Spotlight: Mr.Maxwell

This week’s teacher spotlight focuses on Mr. Alex Maxwell. Mr Maxwell joined our faculty this year as a science and math teacher. He is also our Anime Club Advisor. His peaceful manner and his uncompromising dedication have made him a success at Lutheran East.

Let’s see what Mr. Maxwell has to share:

L.E.: What is your favorite Bible verse or quote?

Mr. Maxwell: “A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new.” - Albert Einstein

L.E.: Tell us about your family.

L.E.: Tell us about where you went to college.

Mr. Maxwell: I went to Clarion University in Pennsylvania. It's a small teaching school in north east PA. It's a fairly boring college town.

L.E. Tell us about your hobbies or sports you are interested in

Mr. Maxwell: I'm a true geek's geek. I love video games and anime. I own a gaming computer and a PS3 along with a goodly sized anime collection. I am currently playing Skyforge and Gauntlet on computer, and Destiny on PS3.

L.E.: If you had to choose Ohio State or Michigan, which would it be?

Mr. Maxwell: Michigan

L.E.: Why did you decide to become an educator?

Mr. Maxwell: I dreamed of being a teacher from a young age, the subject matter came later as I matured and learned more about myself.

We wish Mr. Maxwell many happy years here at Lutheran East. He has already made a significant difference in the lives of our students this school year. We are excited to see what happens in the future!
